Researchers at gender health centers across the country are now recruiting for the Gender Journey Project, a national research study about transgender and gender-diverse children and their parents! Youth may be eligible for the study if they have not yet started puberty and are at least 6 years old. The study aims to find out more information about transgender and gender-diverse children’s understanding of their gender, mental health, and in what ways their parents and family influence their wellbeing.
The Gender Journey Project is looking for transgender and gender-diverse children and one parent or caregiver who would be willing to participate in this online study. Participation will involve one parent and one child completing online surveys and interviews, respectively. Online assessments will occur every 6 months for 1 ½ years. Participants will receive $50 for each study visit they attend, which is $200 over the whole study.
