Be inspired by movement visionaries who are working for a better world for transgender and nonbinary youth. Hear what they think it will take to create movements rooted in social justice that center the voices and experiences of diverse transgender and nonbinary young people.
Our closing keynote will include Andrea Jenkins, the first transgender black woman elected to public office in the United States, Emmett Schelling, the Executive Director for the Transgender Education Network of Texas (TENT) and Harper-Jean Tobin, who has helped guide the transgender rights movement from the streets into the halls of the U.S. Capitol for more than a decade. This powerful conversation will be facilitated by Gender Spectrum's Director of Family Programming, Lilly Rivera.
With their vast expertise in grassroots organizing, lobbying, electoral politics, direct work with youth, the arts and advocacy, they are sure to leave us all inspired to take concrete action after #GSPS21 is over.
