Yarrow Halpern, BA, (they/them pronouns) is the Manager of Online Programming & Community Development at Gender Spectrum, a national nonprofit based in Emeryville, CA. They have over 15 years of expertise in nonprofit management and support, including roles with organizations like Project Reconnect and CHALK. Yarrow graduated from Mills College with honors in 2016, earning a BA in International Relations, with a double minor in African Diaspora Studies & Spanish. In addition to English and Spanish, Yarrow is also fluent in French. They are native to the Bay Area, living on Ohlone land. They identify as a fat, nonbinary, radical, queer, Black, brown, asian and indigenous femme & healer. Yarrow is devoted to strengthening the greater community and has dedicated their career to building thriving, equitable, and just futures for all.
In addition to their expansive professional history, Yarrow is a community activist and body liberator. When not working at Gender Spectrum, they facilitate groups and workshops on Fat Positivity and also provide training and consultations on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
