JAC Cook, an Educator, Trainer, Entertainer, and Consultant, prior to 10 years in the Telecommunication industry in area of Training and Enterprise Sales, is the School & Community Resources Coordinator as part of the Outreach program at California School for the Deaf, Fremont. JAC works in Communications and provide community education, trainings, and resources for families, schools, and communities from all counties of the Northern California. JAC has been in the Outreach/Community Education field for over 25 years. As a current Chair of Gender Inclusive Committee, JAC served on CSD’s LGBTQ Curriculum Committee for the past 10 years when first joined CSD and has given a series of workshops/trainings on LGBT and Safe Space for CSD students and staff, and at different Schools for the Deaf across the country as well. JAC was a Keynote Speaker for Rainbow Alliance of the Deaf-Chicago. JAC was a co-chair of Deaf Lesbian Festival in San Francisco, CA.
Prior moving to California, Bay Area 23 years ago, JAC had served as a Representative for the Deaf community on AIDS CZAR for the White House under Bill Clinton Administration in Washington, D.C. Worked for then-Deaf AIDS Action where she worked as a Deputy and developed Deaf Buddy System training for Deaf Buddies.
