Ashley was born and raised in Los Angeles CA, and made her way to the Bay Area in 2004 to attend San Francisco State University. Upon graduation Ashley began her career in nonprofit organization work with children and elders. Ashley joined Ryse in 2019 as RYSE’s Community Health Program Manager. In this role Ashley oversees all aspects of RYSE’s Community Health Programming, which includes integrative clinical and non-clinical supports, health promotion and social supports, youth-led inquiry and research, advocacy and organizing. She is most passionate about working to show other youth of marginalized communities that their resiliency will carry them much farther than they believe. She hopes through her work, she will increase access to the health and wellness support necessary to live a thriving life regardless of Gender/ Ethnicity or Socioeconomic Status.
